Alagalla ( Potato ) Mountian Range

In the southern end of Kandy district bordering the Colombo-Kandy railway line stands massive Alagalla (Potato) Mountain Range. Famus Balana (view point) Kandyan fortress when the time of Kandy kings (1592 - 1815) against Europian Armies (Portugise, Dutuch and Engilsh) situated in between Kadugannawa pass and potato range.The Old Portugise war trek is here. You could conquer Kandyan kingdom by foot!

Alagalla trekking will get up to the summit of really amazing 360' view, Colombo to west, kandy and Knuckles Mountian Range to east, Ambuluwawa and Bathalegala (Bibale) Rock to the southand vast valley view to the north up to sea level.

We could do the old potugise war trek; for more than 14 days starting from Malwana near Colombo to Kandan Kindom via Alagalla Range. From Kandy,the last king escape trekking to Meemure; for another 7 days!
